The leaves are starting to change here in New York and pumpkin fields are full. This time of year I love bringing out my Black Clay Pottery, black tumblers, flatware and decorative owls. Also setting the table with Terra Cotta Hurricanes and votives on our outside patio brings that garden feeling to the tabletop and act as a centerpiece. I like selecting muted color pumpkins for the table instead of the bright orange (which I usually save for pumpkin carving). Natural color linen table runners keep the table soft against the dark plates and glasses. If you’d like to recreate this table, all the tabletop and even the owls are available on my shop, Little Blue Dish and I’ve linked each item above for easy navigating.
Above I selected Benjamin Moore paint colors from their Color Stories Collection for this table setting palette as a guide. From left to right: Yellow Topaz CSP-945, Coral Bells CSP-1135, In The Garden CSP-805, Chateau CSP-140, City Shadow CSP-60 and Plum Martini CSP-540.
Laguiole horn knives are a beautiful addition to the wood handled black flatware. An owl at each place setting can keep napkins in place from the wind or they can be a favor for each guest to take home.
