I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. This week’s color palette is honey golds, perfect for that change in seasons that seems to occur exactly over Labor Day here on the East Coast. The air gets a little crisper and the leaves will soon start to turn yellows and golds. Honey golds vs. bright yellows seem a bit more sophisticated, romantic and warm to me. Although a primary yellow is associated with happiness and energy (and great for a statement piece), the honey golds are more subtle and calming. Paired with a cool blue, it’s one of my favorite color combinations for living rooms.
