These beautiful arrangements with mums are from her book “A Passion for Flowers”. She uses baskets a lot as vases. What I would do is simply put your floral arrangement in a vase or jar that is just slightly shorter than your basket height and place inside the basket. This way you shouldn’t be able to see the vase, it will look like your basket is holding a fresh bouquet of flowers. Also, by using jars, pitchers, urns or vintage pieces that are solid in color it will hide the stems (which are a bit unsightly on mums) and elevate the look of  your arrangement.
