interiors: creating a rosy pink, yellow & peach living room

Our color palette this week has been a rosy pink, yellow and peach, so we thought this inspiration photo could provide some brainstorming for combining this color palette in your home. (don’t forget we suggested 3 Benjamin Moore paint colors on Monday to help you with this palette) This is room is a bit country in feel, we chose some more tailored designs as suggestions to help achieve this look. We started with a tride and true Benjamin Moore paint color called Rose Petal. Rose Petal is a cross between peach and pink- it doesn’t look too orange when you get it on the walls. We love this color! When selecting a sofa most stores have numerous colors of fabrics to choose from, so ask if you can see all the colors. The one we show above is the Sawyer Sofa in Rhubarb from Maine Cottage. (Maine Cottage has many many prints and colors!) Since the sofa we selected is solid (vs. the inspirational photo which is in a print) we chose some solid and patterned pillows, Eclipse Lemon Pillow from Crate and Barrel and the Rose Stripe Pillow from Hable Construction. Pictured below are some additional pieces we found in the market-  the Hutton Chair from Room & Board, Preppy Pastel Rug in Pink from Land of Nod and assorted pillows from Hable Construction. This is quite a bold room but this palette is certainly fun to play with. As we always suggest, start with a paint color you have in mind for the walls and take the paint chip with you shopping to help guide your selections. Also if you haven’t heard of 1stdibs.com take a look! It’s amazing stores from all over the world, you might be able to find a color or item that you can’t find at your local stores.
