saturday shopping at abc carpet & home

abc carpet & home in NYC is an amazing place for furniture and home accessories shopping. I usually start with breakfast or lunch with friends at Le Pain Quotidien on the first floor and then go floor by floor. The Silk Trading Company (fabric, drapes & accessories) used to be in the basement, but now Conrans moved in about a year ago. I snapped some shots of a few of my favorite finds. I love the tufted navy linen ottoman- I might need to get that as a new coffee table for our family room. (my house is all shade of blues) These trays were scattered throughout the store, some with floral motifs and some with branches, so beautiful. I was loving the black aged round table with glass on top- the glass reflected light, so the black didn’t look too severe- the mirrors on the wall also had the same effect- I’d love to see them in a dining room above a long console.  I’m having a little crush on white, cream and gold living rooms and these three little tables placed together make such a chic option for a ‘coffee table’. I found these chandeliers inside the round iron balls interesting- you would have a have a very large space with tall ceilings for these though. So many vintage pieces to explore. But Brimfield is coming up next week so I’m going to wait and see what I find there before I make any more purchases. Have a great weekend!
