I’ve had this inspirational color palette on my pinterest page for awhile now and I just keep coming back to it. I love the layering of color and pattern of creams, a peachy pink and shades of blue. To me as a stylist that pop of green in the book is a great reminder… a reminder that a little pop of bright color in an otherwise very tight color palette is that layer that makes this a very interesting palette rather than a quiet, pretty palette. Gold and brass… over the past several months it’s been emerging more and more in accessories and hardware for the home (see my post on “6 emerging kitchen trends for the home”).  At first I thought it would be pushed by the market but not embraced. But it seems as though a lot of people are taking that chance and changing things up a bit- adding brass knobs and lighting fixtures to their kitchen and doors…and in small details on their lighting like this table lamp. What do you think of the brass and gold trend?
