I love shopping for candy for each holiday. I usually put the candy (in a color palette fitting the holiday of course) in big glass jars in the kitchen. But for Christmas this year I’ve been filling up vintage mason jars. Here are a few of my red and white Christmas candy picks from candywarehouse.com: Smiling Santa’s Milk Chocolate Mix (with peanut butter, caramel & double fudge fillings), $8.75 for 35 pc. bag, Red & White Peppermint Taffy, $9.90 for a 3 pound bag, Andes Peppermint Crunch Candy, $5 for 25 pc. bag, Red & White Petite Candy Sticks (LOVE the size of these!), $12.50 for 250 piece box. If you don’t have time to go out and search for vintage jars, hop on etsy.com and search: vintage mason jars.
And speaking of vintage finds… these tiny white jars I found at Nellie’s of Amagansett (one of my FAVORITE places to shop in the hamptons) are perfect to put around the house at Christmas time or to put clustered down the table for a casual dinner. I’ve been filling them with pine greens and red roses this week.
