The beverly hills hotel’s famous wallpaper

This iconic wallpaper was made famous by the Beverly Hills Hotel and it still adorns the diner and hallways there. Called ‘Martinque’ (by Donghia), it was created in the early 1940’s and used for the refurbishment of the hotel. Combined with pink accents and green and white stripes throughout the hotel, it’s an old-school application of the quintessential color palette. You gotta love it! Designers like Nate Berkus (photo below left, by simon upton for Elle Decor) and celebrities like Paris Hilton have recently used this pattern in homes. It has also showed up in fashion this spring, like on these Charlotte Olympia platforms.
