this week’s color palette: mauve, honey and white with metallic accents

I love this sophisticated palette and with hints of metallics it’s really beautiful isn’t it? I’ve selected a few Benjamin Moore paints to help guide you. The top, Decorators White is the white I always use for a ‘true’ white. I love it because it has just a tiny bit of gray in it to lessen the starkness. White dove is a soft creamy white that is a nice neutral for your walls and with Decorators White as your trim you will be able to see a difference in color. These colors can almost become a neutral palette when the mauve is used in soft velvets, silks or linens in furniture or carpets. A mirrored console or dresser can bring in that metallic feel to your room. This is a romantic palette that can go traditional or modern, feminine or masculine. It’s becoming a favorite here in the office for 2014. How gorgeous would these colors be for a dinner party table setting as we’ll show you some examples throughout the week. I hope you’ll follow along. Lynn Butler Beling
