this week’s color palette inspired by wild gazelle at the Natural History Museum

A trip to New York’s Natural History Museum inspired our color palette this week. The coloring on these gazelles was so stunning. I centered around Benjamin Moore’s Mt. Rainier Gray and Flint, part of their 2014 color trends and filled in the neutrals from there for one of our new favorite color palettes! message in a bottle, a clever seating card idea

We love this “neutral” seating card idea. Sand and creams are a gorgeous color palette for a wedding or celebration and these creative messages in a bottle will be sure to make your guests smile. On the outside, the guests names and on the opposite side of the paper, the table number. Pale shades of neutral colors for your walls are always a good investment and you can bring in color or keep within … Read more

We’ve selected a few things from the market to create a soothing outdoor room within this week’s seashell color palette. Remember an outdoor room can be defined by the furniture placement, outdoor curtains or a large umbrella or grouping of umbrellas, a permanent structure, planters or shrubs or a patio. Above, the Capri Collection from Restoration Hardware. Accessories like their amazingly large Clamshell can bring a sense … Read more

this week’s color palette: seashell inspired tans, pinks & neutrals

As the official start of the summer season starts today we were inspired by seashells. Nature is a wonderful place to start when you are looking for a color palette. It can be from the colors in an object, like this shell, or a larger landscape in general- for instance if you are looking at the ocean you have the sky, the many colors of blue in the sea, the white or tan sand, the green or straw beach grass- these can all inspire a palette. We have selected Benjamin Moore colors to help you apply this palette to … Read more
